The Antunović winery has emerged from a hundred-year long family tradition of grapevine growing and wine production. Since planting a new vineyard in 2004, Jasna Antunović Turk, BEc, has taken the family business into "a new winemaking age", seeing winemaking as a new life challenge and her true vocation. The exquisite microclimate of the Danube watercourse, fertile and loose soil and equal distribution of precipitation and sunshine all ensure highly favourable conditions for planting various grapevine varieties. The protection and fertilization of grapevine follow the principles of organic production and the long-term goal of the winery is gradual transition to pure organic production.
This white wine grape variety originates from a Caucasian wild grape variety and it was first mentioned in Austria 800 years ago. The name was derived from Roman tutelary deity Silvanus. This variety is not so popular in Croatia today, but in our winery, it enjoys a special position – the Busija site. To our surprise, the results achieved with this variety have exceeded all of our expectations: The wine is wonderful, lovely and extremely soft and arouses incredible sensations. The flavor refers to fresh fruit, wild flowers and green leaves. The freshness of the wine is opposed to its full-body.
Food pairing: meat dishes, pork, lamb, roast beef, so it is an ideal choice for celebrations and parties...
