Normally a varietal that is associated with Austria, Enjingi's Zweigelt is breathtakingly unique and top world-class quality. The Zweigelt vine is a vigorous one and yield control is crucial to produce high-quality wine - which is Enjingi's specialty. His Zweigelt is ruby-red in color, lovely nose complexity, at first ripe red fruit, cherries and plums, then chocolate, coffee and spices, hints of sweet oak.
It has incredible elegance, structure, and lusciousness on the palate that you normally don't expect from the Zweigelt grape. A beautifully rich, unique with smooth tannins and complex palate of dried and ripe currants, aromatic herbs, bayleaf, with just a touch of tree bark. A true wine for the ages.
Food pairing: Game, veal or with roasted steakes.
|Serving temp.||16-18 ºC|
Wines of the Enjingi family are traditionally miraculous. Nothing has changed their winemaking philosophy, neither history nor social and political climate in which they were made.
Winemaking has always been tempted by unpredictable nature, but hard working and experienced people learned how to take advantage of it. Through the years they have established an authentic winemaking tradition.
The Enjingi family celebrates 120 years of winemaking. No matter how strongly they follow their own tradition, their success turns to be a modern guide in the whole winegrowing area.
