Obtained from a variety Crljenak, known and widespread in the world as Zinfandel and which has only recently been shown to originate from the Croatian where it is almost completely gone. This discovery leads to a sort of homecoming of sorts, and this wine is an example of this. The wine was produced from grapes coming from single vineyard. Located on the north side of the island of Brač, next to Postira in a position suitable for the growing and development of this variety. Harvest is, like all other interventions in the vineyard, done manually.

After arriving in the cellar and table sorting grapes are cooled and placed in stainless steel tanks where the temperature control of fermentation is monitoring from start to finish. The maceration lasts 2-3 weeks. It is important that the grapes are at optimum level of ripeness so that the natural fruitiness of the wine is more pronounced. After finishing of the fermentation and maceration the grapes are pressed and prepared for aging. Crljenak is kept for 12 months in French barriques used 2-3 years. The main goal is additional softening of tannins which are in Crljenak quite soft from the beginning. At the same time, using already used barrique barrels, optimal impact of wood on wine is ensured and wooden notes will only enhance the natural fruitiness for which Crljenak is known. After aging and bottling, bottled wine ages for at least 6 months prior to release.

Highlighted juiciness, fruitiness and liveliness, which are so typical characteristics for this variety, but on the other side and solid  structures, restrained power and persistent tannic grip. Without sweetness of Californian Zinfandel and softness of the Italian Primitivo's, as much of the Dalmatian character expressed trough drinkability, rustic and intensity of flavor. Blackberry, baked cherries and blueberries are the main flavors that are joined to the nuances of oak and licorice.

Food pairing: Tuna steaks, barbecue, lasagne.

Stina project, as one of the most comprehensive wine projects in Croatia, began in 2009, when the company Jako vino d.o.o., owned by Mr Jako Andabak, leased a cellar from the Agricultural Cooperative of Bol in a town bearing the same name. Immediately after the takeover of the cellar, its complete reconstruction and technological equipping started.
Vineyards have been planted on a plateau located at 420 to 550 metres above sea, with a slight inclination towards the sea in the east and southeast directions.
The peculiar bottle packaging was designed by the renowned Croatian design studio Bruketa&Žinić. This packaging has won awards five times so far: the best package design in Croatia at Ideja X and Cropack, the best package design award in Europe at Helsinki, and the third best package design award in the world at New York, by the choice of the prestigious Art Directors Club.
