Ambra is a sweet wine made in the style of Dalmatian Prošek. Typically produced from white grapes much in the same style as the more well known Italian Passito wine and Vin Santo. Hand picked late harvest and partially dehydrated grapes are either dried indoors or on straw mats.
Ambra is then made from healthiest bunches from this selection and carefully crushed and aged for years in small oak cask.Non vintage Ambra is blended yearly from barrels as they become ready. Heavy and smooth in texture with notes of burnt toffee, caramel, spicy Tobacco and a distinctive Rancio twist, it’s not necessarily a “dessert” wine, but rather for anything pungent in flavor.
Food pairing: Fresh roasted nuts and blue cheeses.

Alen Bibić's mission is to bring the wines of Skradin to international prominence. By doing so, he hopes to sustain the long tradition of the indigenous white Debit and red Zinfandel relatives Babic, Plavina and Lasin unique to his home. Alen also has a taste for Grenache and Shiraz, of which he makes surprisingly Rhone-ish examples. Despite the quality of his wines and the acclaim they have received, Alen believes that the surface is just being scratched.
