Milos Stagnum is characterized by dense structure and pronounced scent dominated by aromas of dark fruit and plum. Long, fruit and sweet aftertaste aggression alleviates this unique aroma and flavor. Frano Miloš is the only manufacturer of Plavac Mali where barrique barrels are forbidden. "Clusters often contain green, immature berries, which acid does not fall even in the period of high temperatures. These berries have contributed to constantly good acid of Stagnum "says Milos. One of the most prominent Croatian wines.
Frane Miloš ages it's wines for a very prolonged time in large oak barrels. Stagnum ages at least 5 years in oak, before being bottled, giving the wine a very round taste.

Pelješac is the habitat of Plavac mali. In the colours of the Pelješac skyline reflect the colours of Stagnum: the purple-red and the granite hued colours are reflections of the sky under which it matures. The best locations on Peljesac are not endless surfaces of vineyards, but viticultural nests of Plavac mali, situated in the Peljesac hills. In extremely difficult working conditions men have created the vineyards weaved into the surrounding, dry-stone walls bracing the karst sinkholes , thus forming landscape architecture blanded into environment and creating unique microlocational units. The rock, the Plavac trunk, the rocky soil are materials which help the winemaker create his masterpiece - a vineyard on Peljesac.
Plavac mali, a vintage which speaks the true essence of Pelješac; rough, hard, poor, gentle, tame and plenteous; a blend of many contrasts all in just one place, just like the wine itself. This is why Stagnum continues to provoke and takes time to open its soul. A soil cultivated for the first time is rich in nutrients that Plavac mali needs. Thanks to the air circulation, loads of light and warmth, the sprayings of vineyards are minimal and make them well suited for ecological cultivation of Plavac mali, and the results enable a production of completely natural wine.
In this region, rock equals life. It is a reflection of the layering of time. It forms slopes as a sequence of different figures. Here and there a circle swirls forming amphitheaters as on the positions of Stagnum. Sometimes it stretches its arms or creates different shapes of the human body. With a strange intimacy, it hides the little land there is and connects it to the macchia. Proud in the dry-stone walls, it oozes power. It resists corrosion, porous in the soil; it safeguards the moisture for hot summer days when grapevines need it the most, when they need it to survive, to stay alive.
Cultivating grapevine on the finest slopes of the Pelješac peninsula forces a man to be in direct contact with the rock, the soil, the plant, the detailed handcrafted work. We must also understand the forces of nature which enable artistic creation in nature.
