Graševina is our most famous and represented white variety in Croatian vineyards, which in Mr. Kopjar's interpretation expresses a dimension more. With typical elements of yellow bony fruit (apricots, peaches, golden delish apples) and pleasant herbality, it demonstrates fantastic definition and precision in the middle palate. The middle body balances fluttering acids, while notes of meadow herbs and floral threads interspersed with the fine minerality of old vines complete the entire opus.

This particular one is yellow-green in color, with fruity scents and balanced acids. Pleasantly spicy herbal aromas, luxurious and full of flavor.Very mineralic.
Champion of Continental Croatia 2017 in dry still wines.

Food pairing: grilled prawns, fish, cured meat and hard cheese.

Grape variety Graševina (Welschriesling)
Residual sugar dry
Alcohol 12,5%

Kopjar Winery has positioned itself at the very top of the Croatian wine scene in a short time. Vineyards (some old plots and the rest planted in 2005) are fully nourished according to environmental considerations, while the owner, Mr. Robert Kopjar, joined the whole project in 2012.

By fully maintaining organic principle, the share of human labor is many times higher and the protection of the vine is much more demanding, but at the end, the result is high quality grapes that produce authentic, complex wines with a pronounced sense of terroir.

Vineyards (southern and southeastern exposures located at 250-260 m.v.v.) and wine cellar are located at the very edge of Varazdin County, on the border with Krapina Zagorje County in Pece. The 4.5ha of its own plantations (approx. 22,000 grapevines) are predominantly white. Yield reduction (green harvesting) is a regular measure and most wines are hold for a long time on fine lees in stainless steel tanks or large oak barrels.
